There's plenty to play with in Onslaught but a little knowledge of of the inner workings can go a long, long way. Reading the hints and tips in here will improve your experience
Keyboard Shortcuts
Tired of the endless clicky clicky clicky? You can make your game much faster and smoother by using some of the many keyboard shortcuts.

| Spacebar | Send the next wave of attackers now |
| S | Sell the currently selected turret, for 70% of it's value |
| M | Move the currently selected turret to a new location, at a cost of $500 per move |
| Q | Upgrade the selected weapon's damage |
| W | Upgrade the selected weapon's range |
| E | Upgrade the selected weapon's rate of fire |
| Shift-Q | Upgrade the selected weapon's damage to the maximum or the most you can afford |
| Shift-W | Upgrade the selected weapon's range to the maximum or the most you can afford |
| Shift-E | Upgrade the selected weapon's rate of fire to the maximum or the most you can afford |
| R | Toggle showing the range of the selected turret |
| C | Toggle showing which turrets are in combo range of the current turret |
| T | Cycle through the targeting modes: nearest, furthest, weakest, strongest, slowest, fastest |
| L | Switch target lock on or off (if a turret acquires a new target after every shot or not) |
| F | Select an attacker to focus all available firepower on |
| P | Pause and un-pause the game |
| I | Show or hide the information panel |
| G | Show the game settings panel |
| B | Try and build the item currently shown in the weapon rack |
| Enter | Try and build the item currently shown in the weapon rack |
| 1 | Build a cannon turret |
| 2 | Build a laser turret |
| 3 | Build a rocket turret |
| 4 | Build a tazer turret |
| 5 | Build a ranger turret |
| 6 | Build a damage enhancer turret |
| 7 | Build a rate exchanger turret |
| 8 | Build a range exchanger turret |
| Shift-1 | Build a rate enhancer turret |
| Shift-2 | Build a big damage enhancer turret |
| Shift-3 | Build a big damage exchanger turret |
| Shift-4 | Build a targeter turret |
| Shift-5 | Build a sniper turret |
| Shift-6 | Build a fusion turret |
| Shift-7 | Build a railgun turret |
| Shift-8 | Build a combonly turret |
| Left or Right Arrow | Choose the previous or next weapon in the weapon rack |
| Escape | Cancel the building process, joining process, moving process, etc |
| J | Join the selected targeter turret to another turret. To un-join a turret, repeat the joining process on it. |
| D | Cycle through the directional targeting modes: wide, medium, small, normal. |
| Shift-D | Re-align the directional targeting mode to point towards the mouse cursor. |
